I fell in love last winter with yarn. I thought yarns, needles, and the likes was a hobby for well the more "mature woman" . I really didn't picture myself taking up the hobby of crocheting or knitting until I was much older and rocking on the porch with my dear husband. WRONG!!!
Crochet is AWESOME. My dear mother-in-law, came for a visit from Vegas and wanted to spend time with me by teaching me to crochet. "BUMMER" not only did I not learn, I was convienced that this was clearly not the "hobby" for me. A year pasted since my mother-in-laws visit and I was cleaning out my closet and came across the ball of yarn and the needles from our "ONE" crochet session. Something sparked my interest again! I can't really say what it was, but I was determined to give crocheting another chance.
I watched video after video on YouTube and ehow. And well the rest is history. Last year I managed to make everyone friend and family memeber a scraf. Yep, that's right a scarf! I mastered the scraf, as I have heard many beginners do. I attempted a hat....well let's just say I will be working more on that this winter. Crocheting is my fall/winter hobby. There is nothing for me more relaxing then turning on the jazz, grabbing a cup of tea, and attempting to create something beautiful. Oh yeah, and really cool young people crochet too!
I would like to thank my first to "victims", I mean models. My sweet baby boy and my loving, supporting husband (pictured wearing some of my first creations)
