I'll keep you posted on how it's going. Between this kit, youtube, my friends on Raverly, and knitting books from my local library, I will learn to knit!!

I'm off to cast and purl. Those are knitting terms...LOL!!!!

I really want to make a cute hat

This the hat I would like to make.

But for some reason my hats either turn out to big or too small !!

I will make a hat this Fall. If anyone has a really simple cute pattern, I would love to hear from you :)

What I'm Working On

My latest project is this Green and Black hair band. My 3 year old daughter , Lake loves to wear hair bands. I was practicing on making flowers and came up with this idea for this hair band.

It will have three chains as the actual headband. Green is one of Lake's favorite colors :)
I'm pleasantly pleased with how the flower came out! This is my first time making a flower.

My Favorite Scarf Pattern- Beginner Friendly

Really Easy Scarf

Materials Need
Size J hook,
5oz Red Heart Worsted Yarn ( Your color of choice, I like mixed colors)

dc: Means Double Crochet
ch: Means Chain

Chain the length you want your scarf ( wrap yarn around your neck the way in which you would like your scarf to fall) chain that amount. Hint:I usually chain anywhere from 80-95 depending on how long I want the scarf

Row 1: dc starting in 2nd chain from hook
Row 2: ch2 and turn work dc in each chain

Repeat row 2 until your scarf is the width you like
Hint: You may want to stop at certain points to check width

Cut yarn in 12 inch lengths for fringe, attach and trim

Really easy, perfect for the beginner or if your trying to teach a child to crochet.
